Meeting the air requirements for hEALTHCARE FACILITIES

Precise humidity control is non-negotiable in operating rooms, sterile processing, and pharmacies. Mojave’s liquid desiccant technology provides independent control of dry bulb and dewpoint — reliably and efficiently — to meet the demanding requirements of ASHRAE 170 and maintain compliance across critical spaces.

Mojave offers two solutions for healthcare applications, suited to different building configurations:

AquaDry is a hydronic air handling unit that integrates with your existing chilled and hot water plant to deliver dewpoints down to 25°F. For larger facilities with central chiller infrastructure, AquaDry delivers drier air to more surgical suites without consuming more chilled water capacity — eliminating the need for a costly chiller plant expansion.

ArctiDry is a packaged outdoor DOAS unit that delivers dewpoints down to 35°F using only electricity — no chilled water or hot water infrastructure required. It’s an ideal solution for smaller facilities, outpatient surgery centers, and buildings without a central chiller plant.

  • Dew points as low as 25°F for the most demanding critical environments
  • Lower first cost, operating cost, energy consumption, and climate impact
  • Flexible, independent control of temperature and humidity

Healthcare facilities have traditionally relied on overcooling and terminal reheat to manage humidity in patient rooms and critical spaces — an energy-intensive approach that strains chiller capacity and drives up operating costs. Mojave’s liquid desiccant systems handle latent and sensible loads independently, enabling an aggressive supply air reset schedule while using half the electricity of conventional dehumidification technology.
