Solving Persistent Humidity Problems in a Quick Food Store

Overview

This Northern Florida location of the largest publicly traded travel services company had persistent humidity control issues in its quick-service restaurant space. There was consistent condensation and concerns about biological growth.

The Challenge: Humidity and Biological Growth

The facility had a history of elevated humidity levels that contributed to condensation concerns and potential biological growth. Traditional HVAC systems were inadequate at addressing these issues.

The Mojave Solution

The Mojave ArctiDry liquid desiccant technology provided dedicated latent load removal, ensuring consistent humidity control independent of sensible cooling.

Project Specifications:

  • Unit Model: ADA-025CE20
  • Airflow: 2,300 CFM
  • Moisture Removal Rate: 142 lb/hr
  • Efficiency: 9.4 ISMRE (Integrated Seasonal Moisture Removal Efficiency)
  • Sensible/Latent/Total capacity: 202 total, 155 latent, rest sensible
FSU Case Study Mojave HVAC

“Traditional HVAC systems were not sufficient to maintain proper indoor humidity conditions. Mojave was able to ensure consistent humidity control independent of sensible cooling to preserve inventory and provide a better indoor air environment for customers and employees.”

The Results

Since the installation, [need some more information about technical outcome here – and this psych chart was in the proposal so used as a placeholder – what do we want to put here]

By successfully decoupling the sensible and latent loads, the Mojave unit remedied condensation and lost inventory.
