High Efficiency HVAC – doas
In today’s modern commercial buildings, dehumidifcation is an even bigger problem to solve than temperature management. ArctiDry’s patented liquid desiccant technology increases energy efficiency and lowers costs by integrating dehumidification into the HVAC system.
Why Mojave
HVAC for the 21st Century
Since its invention in 1902, vapor compression, the fundamental technology in air conditioners, has become progressively more efficient at changing the temperature of air, yet remains very inefficient at controlling humidity. In addition, modern building codes, ventilation requirements, and efficient appliances have reduced temperature loads over time, while increasing humidity loads. Thus, today’s buildings use more energy to control humidity than temperature.
Mojave Innovation
A new way to control temperature and humidity
Mojave’s ArctiDry products combine two advanced systems in one package: a high-efficiency liquid desiccant system for humidity control and a modern vapor compression system for temperature management. These systems operate independently, enabling precise, optimized control of both dew point and dry bulb. This separation is what unlocks ArctiDry’s powerful dehumidification and dramatic energy savings—exactly what today’s commercial buildings demand.
Performance. Flexibility. Efficiency. Value.
Precise Control
Mojave’s ArctiDry technology delivers unmatched control over both temperature and humidity in a single, efficient packaged solution. Capable of cooling and dehumidifying outdoor air to dew points as low as 35°- 55°F (and maintaining control within 1°F). ArctiDry is the ideal choice for Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) and demanding deep dehumidification applications.
Energy Efficiency
The world’s most energy efficient commercial AC
Mojave’s patented ArctiDry technology delivers the world’s most energy efficient commercial air conditioner.
With an unparalleled ISMRE2 rating as high as 11 lbs/kWh, ArctiDry is twice as efficient as conventional Dedicated Outdoor Air Systems (DOAS) and more than double the Department of Energy (DOE) standard of 3.8 lb/kWh. Additionally, independent dew point and temperature control can unlock building-wide energy savings by raising chiller temperatures or running dry coils.
Energy Savings
Mojave’s patented design lowers energy use and cost
Mojave’s patented technology harnesses the natural moisture-absorbing power of liquid desiccants to manage latent loads more efficiently than traditional systems. In an ArctiDry unit, the DX coil does less mechanical work because deep moisture removal happens downstream—allowing the system to use far less energy than traditional overcool-and-reheat approaches. The air then passes through Mojave’s liquid desiccant absorber, where it’s efficiently dehumidified and brought to the desired supply conditions—without the need for excessive cooling. This approach is especially effective during part-load conditions—when most HVAC systems waste energy managing humidity. By integrating this innovative process, ArctiDry units use up to 50% less electricity than conventional equipment while delivering superior humidity control.
